Some traders prefer to use the Auto Merge Positions setting. This setting is good to help a negative position become positive faster, but if the position is open too long you risk having all of your funds locked up in that one coin.
The best coins to select are ones with high volume and large swings in value. Check the strategy download page for a list of recommended coins.
Adjust the Percentage buy amount until the Estimated buy amount is about 1% of your USD deposit. Turning the value up too high will cause you to run out of funds that will be needed during the next market down swing.
Number of targets to buy can be adjusted higher if you want the hopper to make multiple coin purchases during a market down swing.
Trailing stop-buy will delay your buy until the price rises by the set %. Using this feature may cause you to miss small gains in a slower market.

Stop-loss can be very good or very bad. If the market has been steadily rising for a long time then it is wise to enable Stop-loss to prevent holding coins during a market crash. If the market is moving quickly then enabling Stop-loss may cause your bot to sell prematurely.
Arm trailing stop-loss at % can be adjusted based on the market. If it is a really slow market then adjust down to 2%. If it is a really fast market then adjust up to 10%. Adjust the Trailing stop-loss percentage to 1/10th of the Arm trailing stop-loss number.
Auto close will sell positions after the specified time. This is typically not used.
Shorting is a version of stop-loss that will sell a position at a loss and then repurchase the coin when it has dropped even lower.
Make sure your Coin and Amounts settings are set so you are only buying 1% of your total budget otherwise DCA will quickly invest all your funds.
